Crucial Success Skills Forged Through My Journey
The Key skills that have helped me evolved as a person today are listening, empathy, people first approach, problem solving and building a strong relationship be it my colleagues or my client. Having started my career as a Software developer with almost non expert developer to transforming myself as the Solution Architect for one of the niche ERP skill has been a journey of learning and unlearning. It was during my Engineering days I realized the importance of being the people person. I have been part of implementing projects for top clients across the globe with some clients having more than 3000+ users with more than Million dollar deals for transforming their digital journey.
Having worked in Big4 organization with delivery team of more than 100+ members to building team from less than 10 team members to 40+ team members have groomed me as a person to prioritize people first approach. I have always loved to groom my juniors and my team members in developing their both personal and professional skills. The main skill as a leader is to make sure you define the success path incase of failure. A sense of resilience was inculcated in team to approach any situation with creativity and focusing on quality deliverables. During the journey, I realized that in ever growing technology one needs to be adaptive and keep updating themselves. This learning skill have helped me in being part of top 1%ile of global support community and received the top contributor of 5 months consecutively.
Crafting Creative Opportunities from Every Challenge
The baseline approach for resolving any difficult situation is to stay calm and think of different solutions for any challenges. One needs to have a positive mindset to overcome situation. Having faced a major health disease, I have developed skill to seek guidance and support from near and dear ones. One needs to be adaptive in life. With over 12+ years’ experience in Industry I have come across various challenges in client delivery, managing team during the tough time. However, keeping myself motivated to overcome obstacle in life has always kept me going.
As a leader, one needs to develop a sense of responsibility among team members by involving them in solutioning, maintaining the transparency of situation and creating a sense of ownership to inculcate a sense of responsibility in them and develop the next set of leaders. While it’s never easy to see the light at the end of tunnel, one needs to always keep looking for it. Over the time I have understood that to navigate through situation be it personal or professional, one needs to understand the situation. No matter how the difficult the path is, with strong determination and trust on oneself we can find the solution.
My Impact
I have always been a believer of helping others in their journey wherever possible. Knowledge sharing is one of the key aspects I believe when working in any organization. When you share your knowledge with others it helps in growing your horizon during discussions and also help you in evaluating the approach of another person. One needs to be easily approachable to team to develop these skills. I have always been actively supporting my colleagues, former colleagues in finding the solution for any problem related to my ERP product.
Having been an active member of global platform for couple of years now, I am rated among top 1%ile and have been awarded with GOLD trophy as well. As a leader one needs to understand people come from different background and diversified profile but the end goal for any successful project is to deliver with efficiency and accuracy. To develop any new technology, one needs to be creative and continuously think of innovating ideas. I have also recently joined my alma mater alumni group to contribute and helping the students.
Scaling New Heights in Personal and Professional Triumphs
Success can be achieved in resolving small issues to finally accomplishing the client end goals. However, every journey has hurdles which one needs to overcome to achieve the biggest success. Success doesn’t need to be an accomplishment; it can be a sense of wellbeing. For me success is my overall growth as a person, take feedback and learning new things. I feel a sense of accomplishment when I can help others in either their personal or professional needs. I believe in leaving a lasting impression on people I work with.
I believe in appreciating people even in small achievement to having a party with them on their success journey. I have been grateful enough to have very supportive friends and colleagues who have always looked up to me for issues and have worked together in achieving end results. One should believe in measuring success on yearly or as required basis by reviewing personal goals and what they have achieved in the entire journey. My journey has had lot of failures, but the motivation always was to keep going.
I am also an active chess enthusiastic. I have represented School at National Level and Represented College at Chess Tournament. I had always been an average student during my college days but once I decided to achieve something in life, they say no one can stop you and this started my journey of developing my skills to developing coding skills and transforming journey to functional expertise to currently designing end to end system architecture design for clients. Having gone through this path of learning, I now help my team members in setting up their journey for growth by making sure they understand that failure is part of life. One cannot be successful if they have not felt the failure.
I have also contributed actively in Social platform like LinkedIn in ERP and Team work related mentoring. I have been recognized by LinkedIn as Top voice for ERP and Team work
The Synergy Between My Path and Recognition Values
Today, I can confidently say I have grown as an individual and inspired fellow team members to keep learning. Having established my journey of innovation, demonstrated learning and skills with commitment to excel has helped me in building relationships and networking with people. My journey might have been walked by thousands of people but my ability to drive results, recognized by team and global community exemplifies my path to push boundaries for myself in achieving success.
At the end it’s not about winning its about setting the right path and keep rising after you fall. One should always remember success is not a measure of your financial achievement or being the ONE, it’s about the journey with your family, friends, colleagues and living together a healthy and happy life. One needs to keep learning and growing. I have gained support and recognized by my colleagues as the go to person incase they need any help. I have also been available for my family and friends who I believe are the strongest pillar of my life.
