Crucial Success Skills Forged Through My Journey

The biggest question I see here is which one I should mention first! Let me go with Interpersonal skills! Understanding the pain points of a client and the problems of my customers! That's where my job begins. Putting myself in their shoes and understanding what should I do or choose at this moment is something that I choose every time when I handle a client or a customer. And then it's all a team work! Few things can be achieved as an individual! But greater things can be achieved only as a team! 

Then comes the creativity! Thinking out of the box and looking at things differently from a different view never fails to excite the audience with its outcome! Let the leadership fall at last! Definitely not to say, You do it! Just to ensure that the best outcome is brought out from the one who struggles at the bottom; to ensure that there is a leader to back him/her up to accomplish the goal! Dive deep, take ownership, and put a smile on entire teams' faces!

Crafting Creative Opportunities from Every Challenge

I started my journey as a Customer Service Executive and riding now as a Business Developer! Those 4 years with Amazon as a Customer Service Executive was a book full of lessons, I would say! There was a saying in my first training session from my first trainer Vishnu, "No customer would call us to say, 'Hey, I received my product on time, and thanks for delivering this safe and secure!'" Isn't that true? Definitely yes! Every customers call customer service to make an unpleasant situation, a pleasant one! But that won't be as simple as it looks like to achieve in a simple call. 

But it can be turned into a better situation by communicating in the right way, and by finding an alternate solution, and by going an extra mile to make them choose the right decision, whenever required! We used to mention it as making a contact "Neutral"! I hope you would've got it! And all the above can be achieved wisely, only when you take ownership of the product or service that you provide, and when you dive deep into the problem or the situation to understand the cause better, which helps you to make the right decision! "Dive deep", "Take ownership", leaders "Are right, a lot" are few of the best lessons learnt in Amazon!

My Impact

Being myself and believing in myself! It would definitely be hard to accept, but the fact is that there is still a culture of favoring those who wish to be puppets and treating badly those who stay neutral in many organizations, even in 2024! But the first lesson I learned from Amazon was how to treat an employee!  Let the hierarchy go any longer! Treat everyone equally!  Let them have the freedom to speak out, and the right leaders must have enough patience to listen to them! That helped me to be myself throughout my journey with Amazon as an "Amazonian" and forever! That forever actually means, as it is!  

After stepping out of Amazon and making my footprints in a couple of organizations, I ensured that I carry and exhibit the lessons I learned from Amazon every single time in every single thing that I do! Trust me, that never failed to showcase me out of the crowd and never failed to create an impact on my colleagues. Why to believe in themselves and why to be themselves!  And especially why to make footprints in different areas and why to go the extra mile to get the job done!

Scaling New Heights in Personal and Professional Triumphs

Another lesson would suffice to answer this! "Designations or job titles doesn't even matter! Keep moving forward! Do everything to the fullest of your capabilities!" That's my mantra, which I started to follow from my day 1 at Amazon, and happily moving forward! So the benchmark is simple! Tomorrow, I should not be the same as what I am today! And success! Job satisfaction is the best success that any employee can achieve easily, but many fails to do that! I'm pretty sure that I'm succeeding every single day, as long as I'm satisfied with the job I do! 

Unfortunately, I'm not the one who can be satisfied easily! So satisfying myself, matters a lot to me! And one more personal benchmark! Any individual should be able to feel this! I'm badly waiting for the day, when I can sit on the beach and wait for the sun to get its job done for the day, to wave a bye! All that without any commitment or incomplete goals chasing me! Have a little nap with the eyes opened, wake up when the sea waves hit my feet! And scream aloud, it happened! I made it!

The Synergy Between My Path and Recognition Values

Definitely, I'm one of many ordinary people out in this world! But I am one of the few who wish to explore life in all possible ways and enjoy this journey to the fullest! And to achieve the same, crossing boundaries, going the extra mile, experiencing new lessons, and running alone on a different path never fails to excite anyone! Taking memories to the grave and leaving lessons for the world is a milestone achieved by true leaders! Who wouldn't wish to be one of them? Forget me! And the recognition! I would say even if I'm late! 

Sometime is always better than never! So, let it be a part of your journey! If it excites people, they learn what to do! If it didn't, people would learn what not to do! The job is to deliver the lessons! Accepting it or denying it, the choice is up to the listeners! But my job wouldn't be done if I couldn't make them learn what to do! Let me take on one more responsibility! To make you (the reader or the listener) choose wisely.
