Seeding ECOMMERCE business from scratch has been an un-parallel experience which has brought out the best in me; both from a growth mindset & leadership pov. It’s been an entrepreneurial journey in a corporate set-up where I had to go about establishing everything from scratch. Thinking and doing, leading from the front, setting up the team, the basic processes & SOP’s, playbook of operations, cross-functional collaboration…it’s been nothing sort of operating like a true leader.
Going about this had to be disruptive and adaptive which meant challenging the status quo and adapting creative ways of working. One of the critical skill set esp. in a senior role is that of stakeholder management both internal & external. Being on the helm of managing relations with channel partners in current and previous roles and also managing & Liaoning very closely with the corner offices has helped me deliver keeping the organizational goals & objectives in sync.

Never say die spirit has been my guiding motto. I truly believe that when the going gets tough, the tough gets going. It’s the testing times that defines the strength of an individual professionally. Not crumbing under pressure, soaking it at self, taking a step back & giving a hard look to the problem/situation at hand is how I conduct myself in adverse situations. Trying to keep it cool in head and focusing energies on solving than hooked on to the problem at hand. Whether one has solved it right or not; more important is the very journey as every situation is an experience which only adds to a person to navigate things better.
My Impact
As a leader and a manager, I firmly believe in leading by example. My holding self to a level where my team and people around can be positively influenced and inspired to do better. I consciously invest a lot of time in navigating young professionals, connecting with them both in a structured and informal way to be able to guide them. Right from career directions to role clarity to helping them firm up their feet in current role & organisations; these are some of the conscious initiatives I take for my immediate team.
Scaling New Heights in Personal and Professional Triumphs
Success is relative; to me what matters at the end of the day is the satisfaction to have put my best foot forward. Bringing my best version to work every day is something I truly endeavour, not all days are same but striving for excellence every day is something I am truly passionate about. I want to push my own limits every time, be a better version of my self both personally and professionally. Trying to do better than yesterday is my yardstick.

14 years in a professional world, diversity in the field of sales and business, challenging status quo and breaking glass ceiling in its own ways right from the very start of my career, last 14 years is a testimony of a strong headed individual who is determined to add value in the work she does, those around her and not be deterred by societal norms. Having made to the sales leadership in a giant FMCG organization and representing the only diversity is a culmination of hard work, dedication and passion.
This acknowledgement is going to be token of appreciation and perhaps an inspiration esp. for young women out there to dream big, work hard for them and believing in themselves that they can have anything they set their head and heart for…not let anyone else define it for them! I have lived my life so far by believing in myself and being myself that’s the most important value for me which is what I would suggest young professionals out there to.
