It was the start of an incredible journey with HCL that shaped my entire being. My mentors and leads were the architects of my transformation - turning a rowdy girl into a calm and purpose-driven individual. Among them, two female business leaders, Manisha Sabarwal and Easha Rana, stood as my idols, epitomes of perfection and triumph. In a time when women in top management were scarce, they reigned supreme. Every step I took was met with skepticism, every effort to demoralize me was made, but witnessing the resilience and motivation of these leaders instilled a new strength within me.I vividly recall the doubts that clouded my decision to work in a BPO on night shifts, a choice that raised eyebrows and questions, especially from my family. Bringing them to my office in 2002 was a turning point that altered their perceptions. Yet, this was only the beginning of a journey riddled with challenges.Ascending to the role of a team leader placed me as the lone female amidst 27 others, with predominantly male superiors. The feeling of being overlooked and undervalued lingered, but with the guidance of my mentor, I ensured excellence in all my endeavors. Embracing innovation and thinking beyond conventions not only raised eyebrows but propelled me to the summit, becoming a woman at the top. Challenges were not a hurdle but a driving force, fuelling my passion for overcoming obstacles.With 15 years behind me, my journey has been a testament to resilience and unwavering determination. Confidence became my ally, and the "never say never" attitude became my mantra, guiding me through every setback. In a world where doubt lurks and obstacles loom large, it is this spirit that propels me forward.As I reflect on this journey, I offer words of wisdom to those seeking to reignite their careers:"Never say Never" – before embarking on any path, career shift, or business venture, weigh the risks and rewards. Arm yourself with knowledge, delve deep into research, and then leap. Amidst the naysayers, if you find even one believer, even if that person is your own reflection in the mirror, you hold the power to surpass all expectations and achieve the unimaginable.
