Crucial Success Skills Forged Through My Journey

During my twenties, I was teaching in a school and every morning I asked myself “what is the largest impact I can create for my society and for my students.” Definitely it was education, but not the traditional way. Since childhood, I was curious to know about pictorial images and I believe that learning a new language is the doorway to wisdom. This passion pushed me to learn Japanese Language. It is very evident that language acquisition is one of the quintessential human traits.

It was my dream to learn calligraphy.  It is one of the beautiful arts and it makes a person very creative. In fact, I was very much passionate to learn kanji (Japanese Character writing) and always tried to find various techniques to make the kanji more interesting. Eventually this language became my passion and I thought to share my experiences, my views through my blog- Koimchi (https://koimichi.com/). Koimichi is a self learning initiative where millions of students will have access to learn Japanese beyond the traditional way.

Crafting Creative Opportunities from Every Challenge

I have started to learn Japanese language at the age of thirties. Learning Japanese scripts and memorizing kanji was bit tough for me. But my dream and passion were always with me, and I was confident about my credibility. My father always encouraged me, and that inspiration helped me to move forward. After a daylong hectic work schedule, every day I spent two hours to practice the scripts and characters, because my main focus was to achieve the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (Japanese beginner level) Certificate.

One thing I always noticed is that I never felt tired while learning the language. Eventually, this language became my passion and finally I was able to get my first International Certificate from Tokyo, Japan. Here in this space, I want to convey that hard work with honest efforts and passion encourages us to embrace our journey and that gives us rewards.

My Impact

As I don’t believe in the traditional way of learning, my focus is on how learning could be more fun and enjoyable for everyone.  I’ m trying to reach people across the globe sharing my experiences, my views through my blog- Koimchi (https://koimichi.com/). Koimichi is “Road of love’-it’s a journey towards love. As Noam Chomsky said, “A language is not just words. It’s a culture, a tradition, a unification of a community, a whole history that creates what a community is. It’s all embodied in a language.

I believe through my Koimichi platform I can connect to each other and sharing different storylines will amplify our life beyond the traditional way of learning. My mission is to make a massive impact connecting all the dots.

Scaling New Heights in Personal and Professional Triumphs

I always believe in hard work, dedication, and passion. These are all the driving forces to come out from the comfort zone. Every day I compare myself to the previous version of me for bettering myself. I always try to be strict with my deadlines. This time management skill I have learnt from my Japanese Sensei (Teacher). Every weekend I had to reach her place just fifteen minutes before the class started and this practice made me a punctual person. Her continuous motivation and strict rules helped me to achieve my mission, my dream.

I am grateful to my Sensei . As a language expert and trainer, I also tell my students to follow the important skills to achieve the goal, these are Dedication, Sincerity, and Hard work. Few of my students are well established in their own field.

My ed-tech space “Koimichi” is an initiative where people across the geographical boundaries can join and learn Japanese language and different cultural  landscape through different storylines.

The Synergy Between My Path and Recognition Values

Learning a new language feels amazing and helps me to connect with people from different countries. My first international certificate from Tokyo, Japan Foundation was a “game changer” in my life. I had been attended two incredible programs in Japan for the foreign participants from around the world in different stints. First one was East Asia Network of Exchange for students and Youth program organized by JICE in 2009 and in 2012 for a foreign teacher, for Japanese language program, conducted by the Japan Foundation New Delhi and Japan Foundation Japan.

It was deeply motivational with a focus on leveraging effective communication. In 2019, I have also attended Teachers’ Training program conducted by the Ministry of External Affairs of India and Embassy of Japan with support from Japan Foundation, New Delhi. Japanese language has strengthened my self-empowerment, my thinking and the way I perceive the world today.
