My Journey While Moving Ahead In My Career:
P&G was the best foundation for anyone looking to make a career in sales and marketing. The opportunity to learn on the job, the importance of taking learning from failure and responsible empowerment were all learned at P&G. the time spent here helped me shape up as a person and a professional.
Not to mention some of the lasting friendships forged here. P&G also gave
me tremendous experiences that further drove the passion for driving diversity
and inclusion. The company had begun the journey of D&I prior to most other
companies and I had a good exposure to leading this for women in sales. Truly
enriching time in this great organization.
Challenges Faced:
From early year challenges as basic as not having ladies'
restrooms at distributor locations to experiencing insensitivity, especially
during life-stage changes. But I think women are coming around to finding
their ways of breaking the glass ceiling, rather ignoring or not believing
that there is one. I think the challenges do reduce with consistency in
performance, assertion and I believe having a good EQ always helps to get a
strong connect with people and take decisions with a more balanced view.
